''Kampioen'' ( Dutch: ''Champion'') is a Dutch general interest and family magazine published in The Hague, the Netherlands. The magazine is one of the oldest and most read publications in the country. History and profile ''Kampioen'' was established in 1885. The magazine is part of the Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB) and is published ten times a year by the ANWB media. The magazine has its headquarters in the Hague. ''Kampioen'' is a family magazine and features articles and news on recreation, tourism, traffic, transportation and the environment. It is freely distributed to the ANWB members. Circulation In 2000 ''Kampioen'' had a circulation of 3,589,645 copies, making it the most read magazine in the country. In 2001 its circulation was 3,627,000 copies, making it the ninth top general interest magazine worldwide. Royal Dutch Touring Club
The Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB (), known simply as ANWB (), is a travelers' association in the Netherlands, supporting all modes of travel. It provides test reports, travel services and roadside assistance and is comparable to the German '' Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club'' (ADAC) and the British Automobile Association (AA). ANWB has over four million members, and is the largest not-for-profit association in the Netherlands. History The ANWB was founded on July 1, 1883 in Utrecht by members of the velocipede clubs in The Hague and Haarlem under the name ''Nederlandsche Vélocipèdisten-Bond''. The club then had 200 members. Two years later the name was changed to ''Algemene Nederlandsche Wielrijders-Bond'', where the abbreviation A.N.W.B. comes from. Albert Heijn is the largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands with a market share of 34.8% in 2020. It was founded in 1887, and has been part of Ahold Delhaize since 2016. History The chain was founded on 27 May 1887, when Albert Heijn bought a grocery store from his father Jan Heijn in Oostzaan. In the following years, Heijn opened other locations in several cities and in 1899, he opened a central warehouse in Zaandam. From 1895, Heijn started roasting his own brand of coffee in a laundry room in his Oostzaan location and in 1910, several other self-produced items were added, including confectionery, cakes and pastry.
