Kamarul Baharin Abbas
Dato' Kamarul Baharin bin Abbas (born 12 June 1947) is a Malaysian politician and the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Telok Kemang constituency in the state of Negeri Sembilan for two terms from 2008 to 2018. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. Kamarul was first elected to Parliament in the 2008 general election winning the seat of Telok Kemang. In doing so he unseated the incumbent member Sothinathan Sinna Gounder from the then still governing Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was re-elected in 2013 general election. Kamarul was state chief of PKR for both the 2008 and 2013 elections. He did not contest in the 2018 general election when the Telok Kemang constituency was abolished and renamed as Port Dickson. 2018 Malaysian General Election
The 2018 Malaysian General Election, formally known as the 14th Malaysian General Election (), was held on Wednesday, 9 May 2018, for members of the 14th Parliament of Malaysia. At stake were all 222 seats in the Dewan Rakyat (the legislature's lower house) and 505 seats in 12 out of the 13 state legislative assemblies of Malaysia. The 13th Parliament of Malaysia was dissolved by Prime Minister Najib Razak on 7 April 2018. It would have been automatically dissolved on 24 June 2018, five years after the first meeting of the first session of the 13th Parliament of Malaysia on 24 June 2013. 2004 Malaysian General Election
A general election was held on Sunday, 21 March 2004 for members of the 11th Parliament of Malaysia. Voting took place in all 219 parliamentary constituencies of Malaysia, each electing one Member of Parliament to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. This is first election for Abdullah as Prime Minister since appointed for this position in 2003.
