Kamarul Ariffin Mohd Yassin
Tan Sri Kamarul Ariffin bin Mohamed Yassin (born 12 August 1934) served as the Chairman of the World Scout Committee. In 1983, he was awarded the 160th ''Bronze Wolf'', the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting, at the 25th World Scout Conference. He was also a recipient of the Silver World Award. The Malay language has a complex system of Style (manner of address), styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, few provinces in the Philippines and several provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. Sir William Gladstone, 7th Baronet
Sir Erskine William Gladstone of Fasque and Balfour, 7th Baronet (29 October 1925 – 29 March 2018) was a teacher and an officer in the Royal Navy. The Scout Association appointed him as its Chief Scout from 1972 to 1982. Gladstone was the son of Sir Charles Gladstone and Isla Margaret Gladstone (née Crum), and a great-grandson of the former prime minister, William Ewart Gladstone. He was educated at Eton, and joined the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve in 1943 and saw action in World War II, mainly based on destroyers in the Indian Ocean. Upon leaving the navy (with the rank of lieutenant), he studied at Christ Church, Oxford and received an honours degree in history. He then entered the teaching profession, with positions at Shrewsbury and Eton, and he became head master of Lancing in 1961. He retired from the teaching profession in 1969. The Silver World Award is a distinguished service award of Scouting America. It is presented for noteworthy and extraordinary service to youth on an international basis. Recipients must be a citizen of a country with a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, World Organization of the Scout Movement.
