Kalyaniyin Kanavan
''Kalyaniyin Kanavan'' () is a 1963 Indian Tamil-language film, directed and produced by S. M. Sriramulu Naidu. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and B. Saroja Devi, with M. R. Radha, S. V. Ranga Rao, T. R. Ramachandran and T. P. Muthulakshmi in supporting roles. It was released on 20 September 1963. Plot Kalyani goes swimming with friends in a river when she is carried away by a strong current. As she struggles, Kathiresan saves her, and they fall in love. Kalyani's father Viswanath is impressed by the young man's bravery and wishes to get them married on an auspicious day. Two days before the wedding, Kathiresan receives an anonymous letter inviting him to an abandoned bungalow. He goes and, in the cover of darkness, fights an anonymous foe. Sivaji Ganesan
Villupuram. Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy (1 October 1928 – 21 July 2001), better known by his stage name Sivaji Ganesan, was an Indian actor and film producer. He was mainly active in Tamil cinema during the latter half of the 20th century. Sivaji Ganesan is acknowledged as one of the greatest Indian actors of all time and among the most imitated one by other actors. He was known for his versatility and the variety of roles he depicted on screen, which also gave him the Tamil nickname ''Nadigar Thilagam'' (). In a career that spanned close to five decades, he had acted in 288 films in Tamil language, Tamil, Telugu language, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi language, Hindi. Pakshiraja Studios was a motion picture movie studio in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, established by S. M. Sriramulu Naidu in 1945. The studio predominantly produced movies in Tamil language, Tamil, Telugu language, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam languages, also having made one Kannada film. The studio had major releases in the 1950s and early 1960s and is well known for some blockbusters of the times.
