Kalon Barnes
Kalon Barnes (born December 16, 1998) is an American professional football cornerback. He played college football for the Baylor Bears. He was selected by the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League in 2022, and has had stints with several NFL teams, as well as teams in other professional football leagues. Early life Barnes played wide receiver at Silsbee High School. Barnes was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and committed to play football at Baylor on May 4, 2017. Also competing in track and field, Barnes won both the 100 metres and 200 metres at the UIL Track and Field Championships in 2017 and 2018, consecutively. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. In gridiron football, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. They serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Matt Rhule
Matthew Kenneth Rhule (born January 31, 1975) is an American college football coach and former linebacker. He is the head football coach for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, a position he has held since 2023. He was also the head football coach for Temple University from 2013 to 2016, Baylor University from 2017 to 2019, and the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). Rhule played linebacker at Penn State from 1994 to 1997. Rhule was born and raised in New York City before moving to State College, Pennsylvania, where he joined Penn State's football team as a walk-on under Joe Paterno. After a four-year playing career, Rhule began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at his alma mater. John Ross (American Football)
John Ellis Ross III (born November 27, 1995) is an American professional football wide receiver. He played college football for the Washington Huskies and was selected ninth overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2017 NFL draft. He held the record for the fastest recorded 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine with 4.22 seconds before being broken by Xavier Worthy's time of 4.21 seconds in 2024. The 40-yard dash is a sprint covering . It is primarily run to evaluate the speed and acceleration of American football players by scouts, particularly for the NFL draft but also for collegiate recruiting. A player's recorded time can have a heavy impact on his prospects in college or professional football. Wind Assistance
In track and field, wind assistance is the benefit that an athlete receives during a race or event as registered by a wind gauge. Wind is one of many forms of weather that can affect sport. Due to a tailwind helping to enhance the speed of the athlete in events like certain sprint races ( 100 and 200 metres), 100/110 metres hurdles, the triple jump and the long jump, there is a limit to how much wind assistance the athlete may compete under if the performance is to establish a record. If a tail wind exceeds the result cannot be registered as a record on any level. However, the results within that competition are still valid because all athletes in said race would receive similar assistance, and in field events it is just random circumstance at the moment of the attempt. ''The Beaumont Enterprise'' is a newspaper of Hearst Communications, headquartered in Beaumont, Texas. It has been in operation since 1880. History John W.
