Kalingapatnam Beach
Kalingapatnam Beach is located on the coast of Kalingapatnam, where Vamsadhara River empties into Bay of Bengal. It is located at a distance of 30 km from Srikakulam in Srikakulam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Kalingapatnam Beach has been recognized by the State Government, with the state tourism board APTDC promoting it as a tourist destination. Kalingapatnam
Kalingapatnam is a village in Srikakulam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Gara mandal of Srikakulam revenue division. It has one of the major beach sand deposits of the state. In medieval era it was famous for the ancient port city of Kalinga. Kalingapatnam is located at a distance of 26 km from the district headquarters and 17 km from Singupuram. Kalinga is ancient name for present day Odisha. Vamsadhara River
River Vamsadhara or River Banshadhara is an important east-flowing river between Rushikulya and Godavari, in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh states in India. The river originates near Lanjigarh in the Kalahandi district of Odisha at an elevation of 400 meters and runs for a distance of about 278 kilometers, and joins the Bay of Bengal at Kalingapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
