Kalan Reed
Kalan Ascher Reed (born December 29, 1993) is a former American football cornerback. He was Mr. Irrelevant in 2016 when the Tennessee Titans took him with the final pick of the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In college, Reed played for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Early years Reed attended Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, Alabama. College career Reed played college football for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles from 2012 to 2015. In his freshmen season in 2012 he had 21 tackles and 1 interception. In his sophomore season in 2013 he had 41 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble. In his junior season in 2014 he had 34 tackles and 2 interceptions. In his senior season in 2015 he had 47 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. The cornerback position requires speed, agility, strength, and the ability to make rapid sharp turns. A signing bonus or sign-on bonus is a sum of money paid to a new employee (including a professional sports person) by a company as an incentive to join that company.
