Khurd And Kalan
Khurd and Kalan (Hindi: ख़ुर्द और कलाँ, خرد اور کلاں Punjabi: ਖ਼ੁਰਦ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾਂ, خرد اتے کلاں) are administrative designations used in India and Pakistan to indicate the smaller (Khurd) and larger (Kalan) segments of a town, village or settlement. They are usually added after place names. For instance, Berote Khurd and Berote Kalan in Abbottabad District in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Dangoh Khurd in Una District of Himachal Pradesh and the famous Dariba Kalan jewellery market in Delhi, there was also a smaller street near by, known as Dariba Khurd or Chhota Dariba, both mean small, now known as Kinari Bazaar. Elliott Kalan
Elliott Charles Kalan (born December 3, 1981) is an American comedian. He was the head writer for the Netflix era of the cult series ''Mystery Science Theater 3000'' and a former head writer for ''The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'', as well as a comic book writer and co-host of the podcast ''The Flop House''. Early life Kalan grew up in Millburn, New Jersey and graduated from Millburn High School as part of the class of 1999. Kalan Müzik
Kalan Müzik or Kalan Music for the West is a Turkish independent record label company based in Istanbul. It was founded in 1991 by Hasan Saltık. It specializes in releasing Saltık's recordings of classical and traditional ethnic and folk music from Turkey and the surrounding region. It is sometimes listed as Kalan Ses ("Kalan Audio" or "Kalan Sound"). Kalan has annual revenues of $3 million, and has released more than 400 albums. From 1992 to 2002, some of Kalan's output met governmental opposition. Richard Kalan Porter (born November 11, 1985) is a Canadian former singer-songwriter from Medicine Hat, Alberta, and the winner of the reality television series ''Canadian Idol'' in 2004. He started to sing at an early age and is classically trained, playing several instruments, most notably, the violin and viola. He writes and arranges violin solos for many of his songs. Etymology

The name of the union council Birote means "the land of wrestlers". The words ''khurd'' and ''kalan'' ("little" and "big") are administrative terminology dating back to Mughal times, to differentiate two areas with the same name, hence ''Birote Khurd'' means "little khurd". The words ''khurd'' ("small") and ''kalan'' ("big") are taken from Persian. (cf. Britannia major, "Greater Britain" and Britannia minor "Lesser Britain").

Tunceli
Tunceli ( ku, Dêrsim) is a city and municipality in eastern Turkey. It is the capital of Tunceli Province, located in the middle of the Eastern Anatolia Region. The city has a Kurdish-majority population and was a site of the Dersim rebellion. Name During Ottoman times, the settlement was called Kalan or Mameki. Tunceli, which is a modern name, literally means "bronze fist" in Turkish (''tunç'' meaning "bronze" and ''eli'', in this context, meaning "fist"). It shares the name with the military operation under which the Dersim massacre was conducted.
