KalPa Naiset
Kalevan Pallo Naiset (), abbreviated as KalPa Naiset, are an ice hockey team in the Auroraliiga. Founded in 1990, the team plays in Kuopio, the largest city in Finland's eastern-central province of North Savo, at the Kuopion jäähalli (unofficially known as or ); serves as a secondary venue. The team won the Finnish Championship (SM) silver medal in 2021, and have won five SM bronze medals, in 1995, 1996, 2017, 2023, and 2024. History In 2020, the team qualified for the Aurora Borealis Cup playoff final and were set to face the reigning champions, Kiekko-Espoo, when the playoffs were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic before the first game of the finals. By making it to the playoff finals, KalPa was guaranteed at least a silver medal, which would have been the highest finish in team history to that point, but with the cancellation of the season no Finnish Championship (SM) medals were awarded. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. 2023–24 Naisten Liiga Season
The 2023–24 season was the forty-first season of the , the premier level of women's ice hockey in Finland, since the league's establishment as the in 1982. The regular season began on 9 September 2023 and concluded on 18 February 2024. The playoffs began on 23 February 2024 and the Aurora Borealis Cup was awarded to IFK Helsinki (HIFK) on 21 March 2024. The 2022–23 Naisten Liiga season was the fortieth season of the , the premier level of women's ice hockey in Finland, since the league's establishment as the in 1982. Tampereen Ilves Naiset () are an ice hockey team in the Auroraliiga. They are the representative women's team of the multi-sport club Ilves ry, Ilves, based in Tampere, and their home arena is the in Tampere's Tesoma district. Ilves is the only team that has played in every season since the establishment of the Naisten SM-sarja in 1982 (called the Naisten Liiga in 2017–2024 and rebranded as Auroraliiga in 2024). Elisa Holopainen
Elisa Holopainen (born 27 December 2001) is a Finnish ice hockey winger for Frölunda HC of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) and member of the Finnish national team. Holopainen represented Finland in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where she won a bronze medal, and at the IIHF Women's World Championships in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025. Tanja Niskanen
Tanja Niskanen (born 11 September 1992) is a Finnish retired ice hockey player and former member of the Finnish national team. Following her second Olympic bronze medal win in February 2022, she announced her retirement from the national team and, in March 2022, confirmed her intention to step away from elite-level club competition following the 2022 Aurora Borealis Cup playoffs. HPK Kiekkonaiset () or HPK Naiset are an ice hockey team in the Auroraliiga, the premier women's ice hockey league in Finland. They play in Hämeenlinna, a city in the Finnish south-central province of Kanta-Häme, at the (HML hh; ), a secondary ice rink at Ritari-areena.
