Kajang Depot (Malay: Depoh Kajang) is a railway yard serving the MRT Kajang Line in Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia. Background and functions The depot was built at the site of a former Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) transmitter station. The depot houses a central maintenance facility with overhaul functions for trains on the MRT Kajang Line only. This is one of two yards serving the Kajang Line, the other being the Sungai Buloh yard, which is also shared with the MRT Putrajaya Line. Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sendirian Berhad (abbreviated as MRT Corp or MRTC) is a Malaysian state-owned company and a corporate body established under the Ministry of Finance (Incorporation) Act 1957. Rapid KL (stylized as ''rapidKL'') is a public transportation system owned by Prasarana Malaysia and operated by its subsidiaries Rapid Rail and Rapid Bus. The Siemens Inspiro is a family of electric multiple unit trains designed and manufactured by Siemens Mobility since 2012 for Rapid transit, metro systems. Kajang Line
The MRT Kajang Line, previously known as the MRT Sungai Buloh–Kajang Line, is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line servicing the Klang Valley, Malaysia. It is the second fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley region after the LRT Kelana Jaya Line. Owned by MRT Corp and operated as part of the Rapid KL system by Rapid Rail, it forms part of the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System. Kajang is a city in Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia, located southeast of Kuala Lumpur. Kajang, along with much of Hulu Langat District, is governed by the Kajang Municipal Council.
