The Kaiyi Showjet (炫界) is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by the Chinese manufacturer Kaiyi Auto. The model shared the platform with the earlier introduced Chery Tiggo 5x and is designed by Pininfarina. Overview The Kaiyi Showjet was revealed on 24 December 2019. The Showjet is positioned below the compact Kaiyi X3 as Kaiyi's latest budget crossover. The Kaiyi Showjet was sold with a lone engine option, a 1.5-litre inline-4 engine mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT delivering and of torque. Kaiyi Auto (official name Yibin Kaiyi Automobile Co., Ltd., Chinese language, Chinese: 凯翼, ''Kǎiyì'') is a Chine, Chinese car manufacturer founded in 2014, as a subsidiary of Chery. The brand is specialized on offering low cost models with the goal of attracting young buyers. In 2022, the brand has renamed from Cowin Auto to Kaiyi Auto. Chery Omoda 5
The Chery Omoda 5 () is a compact crossover SUV produced by Chery since 2022. The Omoda 5 is the first product of the Omoda product series under the Chery brand. In many export markets, the model is marketed as the Omoda C5 or simply Omoda 5 under the separate Omoda marque which is positioned more upmarket than the Chery brand. Other names used include the Chery FX, and Fownix FX in Iran. Since late 2024, Chery renamed the vehicle to Chery Tiggo 5x High Energy () for the Chinese market, with cosmetic exterior changes. A battery electric version, with redesigned exterior and interior went on sale in early 2024 in selected markets as either the Chery Omoda E5, Omoda E5 or Omoda C5 EV. According to Chery, the letter "O" from Omoda represents "brand new", while "Moda" means a fashion trend.
