Tiptur Ramaraju Narasimharaju (24 July 1923 – 11 July 1979) was an Indian actor in Kannada cinema who specialised in roles that required ample comic timing. Tirumakudalu Narasipura Balakrishna (2 November 1911 – 18 July 1995), commonly known an T. N. Balakrishna or Balanna, was an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry. He was said to have a hearing problem and some say that he was totally deaf. However, he would catch the lip movements of the artists and would narrate the dialogues spontaneously. Leelavathi (born Leela Kiran) is an Indian actress who worked in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. She has acted in more than 600 films (more than 400 in Kannada alone) throughout her career for more than 50 years. She is known for her memorable performances in '' Bhakta Kumbara'' , '' Mana Mecchida Madadi'' and '' Santha Thukaram''. Personal life Shanthamma couldn't pursue her acting interests during her initial days at home. Her husband was a dance teacher in Gokak company and upon his encouragement she started acting in films. Their family stayed in Madras for 15 years. Career Shanthamma made her debut in 1956 in the Kannada film industry with the movie ''Hari Bhakta''.
