Kai Edwards (basketball)
Kai Simon Edwards (born 10 August 1997) is a Dutch basketball player who plays for Club Melilla Baloncesto of the LEB Oro. Born in Amsterdam, he played college basketball with the Northern Colorado Bears men's basketball, Northern Colorado. He continued his career in Spain. Early career Born in Amsterdam, Edwards started playing basketball at age 16. He started his club career in the youth section of Apollo Amsterdam. Edwards played for the Canarias Basketball Academy, a Spanish academy located at the Canary Islands. College career Edwards received scholarship offers from three universities, and eventually committed to Northern Colorado Bears men's basketball, Northern Colorado. Amics del Bàsquet Castelló, also known as TAU Castelló for sponsorship reasons, is a basketball team based in Castellón de la Plana, Spain. It was founded in 1994 and currently plays in LEB Oro. Real Madrid's coach Pablo Laso started his coach career in this team, in the 2003–2004 LEB 2 season. History Founded in 1994, Amics Castelló played for the first time the Liga EBA in the 1999–2000 season, achieving in 2002 a vacant berth to play the LEB 2 league, Spanish third division. The 2017–18 Northern Colorado Bears men's basketball team represented the University of Northern Colorado during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bears were led by second-year head coach Jeff Linder and played their home games at Bank of Colorado Arena in Greeley, Colorado as members of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 26–12, 11–7 in Big Sky play to finish in fifth place. They defeated Northern Arizona and Weber State to advance to the semifinals of the Big Sky tournament to Montana. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Drake, San Diego, Sam Houston State and UIC to become CIT champions.
