Kaffe (band)
Kaffe () was a Bulgarian jazz band who represented their home country in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. The group, who sung the song "Lorraine", finished 19th in the semi-final. Biography Kaffe represented Bulgaria at their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kyiv ending 19th in the semi-final and failed to make it to the Finals round. The following year the group disbanded and the members pursued their solo careers. Members Orlin Pavlov – vocals Orlin Pavlov was born on 23 April 1979 in Sofia and is the son of opera singers. He studied theatrical art and graduated from the University of Drama Arts in the city of Plovdiv. In 2001 he started his artistic career as a dancer – a profession that took him to many countries, including the Netherlands, Poland, Germany and Egypt, and onto the most famous stages in Europe, such as the Grand Theatre. Theodosii Spassov
Theodosii Spassov Yordanov (, , born 4 March 1961) is a Bulgarian Folklore and jazz musician who plays kaval. Theodosii Spassov began his early training on the kaval at the Kotel Music School and The Academy of Music and Dance in Plovdiv/Bulgaria. The kaval, an eight-hole wooden "shepherd" flute, is one of the oldest Instruments in Europe, rich in tone and technical possibilities. Theodosii Spassov has developed his own unique style of playing the instrument by synthesizing traditional folklore with jazz, fusion and classical music. For over 20 years, Theodosii has toured all over Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, Canada and United States. In 1994, he performed with Sofia Women's Radio Choir which was awarded with a Grammy award for "Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares". Let Me Cry
Bulgaria was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Let Me Cry", composed by Dani Milev, with lyrics by Elina Gavrilova, and performed by Mariana Popova. The Bulgarian participating broadcaster, Bulgarian National Television (BNT), organised the national final in order to select its entry for the contest. 24 entries were selected to participate in the national final which consisted of two shows: a semi-final and a final, held on 25 February 2006 and 11 March 2006, respectively. The top twelve songs of the semi-final as determined by a fifteen-member jury panel qualified to the final. In the final, public televoting exclusively selected "Let Me Cry" performed by Mariana Popova as the winning entry with 4,700 votes. Mariana Popova
Mariana Popova () (born 6 June 1978) is a Bulgarian singer. She is known for representing Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, trainer on The Voice of Bulgaria 2011 and from Vip Brother 2012 – Bulgaria. Biography Mariana Popova was born in Sofia, Bulgaria on 6 June 1978. She has been studying music since she was 11, and later she also studied modern and jazz ballet. From 1996 until 2000, she was part of the group Cocomania. Bulgaria has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 14 times since making its debut at the 2005 contest in Kyiv. Ivo Papazov
Ivo Papazov (or Papasov; ; born 1952), nicknamed Ibryama (), is a Bulgarian clarinetist. He leads the "Ivo Papazov Wedding Band" in performances of jazz-infused Stambolovo music, and is one of the premier creators of the genre known as "wedding band" music in Bulgaria, along with the violinist Georgi Yanev, saxophonist Yuri Yunakov, clarinetist Neshko Neshev and accordionists Ivan Milev and Peter Ralchev. Together with Emilia they are known as Mames 2001. An orchestra that had great success in the TV show ''Познай кой е под масата'' ("Guess who is under the table"). Stefan Kostadinov Valdobrev (; born 20 May 1970) is a Bulgaria, Bulgarian actor, film/theatre composer, singer-songwriter and filmmaker. He received classical training at the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia.
