Kabitirtha Assembly constituency was a Legislative Assembly constituency of South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Overview As a consequence of the orders of the Delimitation Commission, Kabitirtha Assembly constituency ceases to exist from 2011. It was part of Jadavpur (Lok Sabha constituency). Legislative Assembly elections were held in Indian state of West Bengal in 2001 to elect 294 members of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. Saugata Roy (born 6 August 1946) is an Indian politician of Trinamool Congress and also a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament representing the Dum Dum constituency in the 16th Lok Sabha.
