K13VC (channel 13) was a low-power independent television station in Austin, Texas, United States, which operated from November 30, 1989, until March 29, 2003. Branded on-air as "KVC 13", it was a sister station of KTBC (channel 7) for most of its history under the ownership of Argyle Television, New World Communications and Fox Television Stations. The station's transmitter was located at One Congress Plaza at the intersection of Congress Avenue and 2nd Street in downtown Austin. History Early history K13VC first signed on the air on November 30, 1989, as an independent station. Kankakee Valley Conference
The Kankakee Valley Conference, occasionally known as the Kankakee Valley Athletic Association, was an IHSAA-sanctioned conference in northwestern Indiana that lasted from 1933 until 1967. The conference formed as a merger of the Jasper and Newton county conferences, along with schools from the newly formed Porter County Conference wanting another league to compete in. King Videocable
King Videocable was a broadcast cable television company based in Seattle, Washington. It was owned by the King Broadcasting Company, then-owners of Seattle television station KING-TV, and by investment firm Kelso and Company. Launched in the early 1970s by King Broadcasting employee Edward Hewson, it eventually expanded to cover around 500,000 customers, with systems stretching from Los Angeles to Minneapolis. After the King Broadcasting assets were sold largely to the Providence Journal Company in 1992, KVC was integrated into PJC's existing cable holdings, including Colony Communications.
