KUOP
KUOP (91.3 FM) is an NPR-member radio station, licensed to Stockton, California, United States. The station is currently owned by California State University, Sacramento and is part of the news network of CapRadio (formerly Capital Public Radio). From 1947 to 2000, KUOP was the radio station of the University of the Pacific. Capital Public Radio began leasing out KUOP's air time in 2000 and bought the facility outright in 2007. KXJZ
KXJZ (90.9 MHz) is a non-commercial, listener-supported public radio station in Sacramento, California. It is owned by Sacramento State University and has studios on the campus at 7055 Folsom Boulevard. KXJZ's sister station is classical music- formatted KXPR 88.9 FM. The two stations are known as CapRadio (formerly Capital Public Radio). KXJZ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts, the maximum for most stations in California. The transmitter is on Sorento Road in Elverta. KXJZ broadcasts using HD Radio technology. Its HD-2 digital subchannel carries KXPR's classical format. CapRadio (Capital Public Radio) is the public radio service of California State University, Sacramento. It consists of two full-power stations and five repeaters, all members of National Public Radio. It is the NPR member for Sacramento and much of the surrounding area, including Stockton, California, Stockton and Modesto, California, Modesto. The group is headquartered on Folsom Boulevard on the Sacramento State campus. CapRadio also operates North State Public Radio serving the northern Sacramento Valley, and KHSU serving the North Coast, under operating agreements. Dixieland jazz, also referred to as traditional jazz, hot jazz, or simply Dixieland, is a style of jazz based on the music that developed in New Orleans at the start of the 20th century. The 1917 recordings by the Original Dixieland Jass Band (which shortly thereafter changed the spelling of its name to "Original Dixieland Jazz Band") fostered awareness of this new style of music. Mount Oso () is a mountain in Western Stanislaus County, California, and is located on the Diablo Range. At feet in elevation, it is the third highest point in Stanislaus County. There are many radio stations and an unused forest fire lookout tower on the mountain. It appears in the City of Modesto's logo due to its predominance in the area's skyline.
