KLBB-FM (93.7 MHz) is a radio station serving the Lubbock area. KRBL (107.7 MHz, "The Red Dirt Rebel") is a radio station broadcasting a Texas country format. Licensed to Idalou, Texas, United States, it serves the Lubbock area. In September 2023, Ramar Communications agreed to purchase the station for $425,000, and on July 1, 2024, the station moved to 107.7 previously occupied by KLZK-FM. Following court receivership in 2012, the station concluded its run as Praise Radio 105.7 on March 6, 2013 at 6PM. It was flipped immediately, stunting with an all Beatles format. One week later it re-launched as 105.7 The Edge. The first commercial alternative rock station in the Lubbock market. The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show served as the morning show during The Edge format, with the rest of the programming done locally. KTTU (950 AM, "100.7 The Score") is a Lubbock, Texas, radio station broadcasting with a daytime power of 5,000 watts. Programming includes both local and nationally syndicated sports talk shows. It is owned by Ramar Communications Inc., co-owned with several sister radio stations. Its studios are located at 620 Avenue O in downtown Lubbock, and its transmitter is in Mackenzie Park east of downtown. History KSEL (KTTU's original call sign) was the second radio station established in Lubbock, signing on in 1947. KCBD 1590 was third in 1949 and KFYO was the first, established in Lubbock in 1932. As KSEL, the station's towers were damaged in the 1970 Lubbock Tornado and repaired months later. KTTU-FM (97.3 MHz, "Double T 97.3") is a radio station licensed to New Deal, Texas and owned by Ramar Communications Inc. of Lubbock serving the Lubbock area. KLZK was originally on 104.3. On March 30, 2008, KLZK-FM swapped frequencies with sister station KSTQ-FM. 97.3 was activated in 1961 as KPLA (FM) Plainview, Texas. It operated separately from sister station KVOP (AM). KPLA raised power to 100,000 watts at 500 feet in 1976. Call letters changed to KATX at the same time. As part of a format change to News/Talk/Sports in October 2003, simulcasting KJTV, Ramar built an 800-foot tower near Petersburg, Texas. That tower fell in a small plane mishap in 2004 and was replaced. In late March 2008, Ramar executed a Construction Permit to change 97.3 from a class C1 to class C2, and change the city of license from Plainview to New Deal, Texas.
