Owned and operated by Weigel Broadcasting, the station broadcasts from a transmitter, shared with KSFV-CD, at the Mount Harvard Radio Site in the San Gabriel Mountains. Due to its low-power status, KPOM-CD's broadcasting radius does not reach all of Greater Los Angeles. Therefore, the station shares Catchy Comedy with the fourth subchannel of KTTV (channel 11). History The station was founded on August 23, 1989. Originally licensed to Indio, California, it carried Retro TV programming via KRET-LP (channel 45). KSFV-CD (channel 27) is a low-power, Class A television station in Los Angeles, California, United States, airing programming from MeTV Toons, a digital multicast network dedicated to classic cartoons. The station is owned and operated by Weigel Broadcasting, and transmits from the Mount Harvard Radio Site in the San Gabriel Mountains. History The low-power station was founded in 1989 as translator K24CM on channel 24, before changing from a translator to an LPTV as KSFV-LP in 1995, moving to channel 26 in 2001. On April 30 of that year, the station debuted Spanish-language programming targeted towards Central American immigrants. Catchy Comedy, formerly known as Decades, is an Americans, American Digital terrestrial television, digital broadcast television network owned by Weigel Broadcasting. The network, which is mainly carried on the digital subchannels of television stations, primarily airs classic television sitcoms from the 1950s through the early 1990s. The station is owned Bridge Media Networks. History The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) granted an original construction permit to Charles R. Meeker on January 24, 1996, to build a low-power television station on UHF channel 45 to serve Cathedral City and Palm Springs, California. The San Gabriel Mountains () are a mountain range located in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties, California, United States. The mountain range is part of the Transverse Ranges and lies between the Los Angeles Basin and the Mojave Desert, with Interstate 5 to the west and Interstate 15 to the east.
