KQMS (1670 kHz) is an American News/Talk AM radio station based in Redding, California. The station is owned by Stephens Media Group which also owns its five sister stations in Redding. KQMS is generally known as a conservative talk radio station, since all of its main radio shows except for ''Coast to Coast AM'' and Schopflin and Gibson are considered to be conservative shows. Programming The station was the longtime home of popular conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh until 2021 when the show ended its run four months after Limbaugh's death from cancer. History For over a decade, KNNN aired a CHR music format branded as "Mix 99.3". From its inception until the "Mix 99.3" brand was introduced, the station was known as "K-9 FM", and played a pop-based Adult Contemporary format. The original "K-9" AC format was the result of a listener voting process following a months-long format testing experiment, where a different format was played every hour of the day.
