KLBG (FM)
KLBG (95.5 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to serve Lindsborg, Kansas, United States. The station is owned by Christofer Shank, through licensee Ad Astra per Aspera Broadcasting, Inc. History KLBG started as KQNS-FM in September 1986, then located on 95.9 FM with an ERP of 1.3 kW. At the time, the station aired an easy listening format, and was branded as "Q96." On January 5, 1993, KQNS flipped to a mainstream rock format, branded as "95.9 The Rock." In April 1994, the station moved to 95.5 FM and upgraded their power to 15.5 kW. In September 1994, B-B Broadcasting bought the station from Jerry Davies, who owned KNGL and KBBE in McPherson. On January 13, 1997, the station flipped to adult contemporary as "Star 95.5". David Andrew "Riki" Rachtman is an American television and radio personality. He is best known for his association with the late 1980s and early-to-mid 1990s hard rock and heavy metal scene, hosting MTV's ''Headbangers Ball'' from 1990 to the show's cancellation in 1995, and he was the owner of the Hollywood-based nightclub The Cathouse. Jack FM is a radio network brand that is licensed by Sparknet Communications, with the exception of the European Union where it is licensed by Oxis Media. It plays an adult hits radio format, format, in most cases not using disc jockey, DJs. Format characteristics Stations using the "Jack" name are strictly licensed by SparkNet Communications. Call Sign
In broadcasting and radio communications, a call sign (also known as a call name or call letters—and historically as a call signal—or abbreviated as a call) is a unique identifier for a transmitter station. A call sign can be formally assigned by a government agency, informally adopted by individuals or organizations, or even cryptographically encoded to disguise a station's identity. The use of call signs as unique identifiers dates to the landline railroad telegraph system. Because there was only one telegraph line linking all railroad stations, there needed to be a way to address each one when sending a telegram. In order to save time, two-letter identifiers were adopted for this purpose. Bob FM
BOB FM is the on-air brand of a number of FM radio stations in the United States and formerly in Canada. The BOB FM format mostly concentrates on album rock, alternative rock and pop hits from the 1980s and 1990s, especially those popular during the early days of MTV when music videos made up most of MTV's schedule. However, BOB FM also features a smattering of oldies from the 1970s or earlier and classic hits from the 1990s or later. Once or twice an hour, an unexpected song will get played, sometimes a dance hit or novelty song. BOB FM stations are quite similar to those using the moniker Jack FM. On many BOB FM and JACK FM stations, disc jockeys are not used or are only heard in morning drive time. Instead of a live DJ, a prerecorded voice will make sarcastic or ironic quips between songs.
