KK Slovan
Košarkarsko društvo Slovan, commonly referred to as KD Slovan or Slovan, is a basketball team from Ljubljana, Slovenia. History The founding of the club was the idea of Stane Urek, who in 1951 proposed the establishment of a basketball club in Poljane at one of the Ljubljana high schools. The club was named KK Poljane and got its official permission to play on 13 April in the same year. After just two days, they organised their first tournament, at which they invited Rudar Trbovlje and Krka, both playing in the first national league. The team was also named KK Krim, KK Slavija, KK Odred, and finally KD Slovan – the name they have had until today. After more than 20 years of playing on the basketball court of Poljane Grammar School, they moved to Kodeljevo Hall in the 1974–75 season, where they have been playing ever since. The 2012–13 Telemach League was the 22nd season of the Premier A Slovenian Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in Slovenia. The first half of the season consisted of 10 teams and a 90-game regular season (18 games for each of the 10 teams) and began on Saturday, 20 October 2012. The second half of the season consisted of two teams from the Adriatic League and the best four teams from first half of the season. FIBA EuroCup Challenge
The FIBA EuroCup Challenge was the 4th-tier level transnational professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, organised by FIBA Europe. However, it was Europe's 3rd-tier level club basketball competition in its inaugural 2002–03 season. The competition was founded in 2003, following a conflict between FIBA Europe and ULEB during the 2001–02 season, as an attempt by FIBA to expand their secondary tournament held during the previous season, the FIBA Europe Regional Challenge Cup, by merging it with the FIBA Europe Champions Cup.
