Second Men's League of Serbia ( sr-cyr, Друга мушка лига Србије, Druga muška liga Srbije), previously Basketball League of Serbia B, is the second-tier level men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Rules Competition format The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Serbia, has 14 teams. From the 2012–13 season, the top two teams in Second League goes to First League of Serbia. The teams positioned 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th in Second will be relegated to the 3td tier – First Men's Regional League. Smederevska Palanka
Smederevska Palanka ( sr-cyr, Смедеревска Паланка, ) is a town and municipality located in the Podunavlje District and the geographical region of Šumadija. According to the 2011 census, the town has 23,601, while the municipality has 50,284 inhabitants. History In the vicinity of the town there are two archaeological sites: Medvednjak, near Grčac, and Staro Selo, near Selevac. They belong to the end of Neolithic and early Eneolithic, or the period 4500-3500 BC, during the developed and ending phase of the Vinča culture when the first evidence of metallurgy appeared. Marko Dimitrijević
Marko Dimitrijević ( sr-cyr, Марко Димитријевић; born 8 February 1978) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for Sloga of the Basketball League of Serbia. Playing career During his playing days a guard, Dimitrijević played for his hometown teams Sloga and Mašinac, as well as Srem, Partizan, Igokea (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Pardubice (Czech Republic), Gaz Metan Mediaș (Romania), Feni Industries (Macedonia), Tamiš, and Smederevo 1953. Dimitrijevic retired as a player with Smederevo in 2013. Coaching career After retirement in 2013, Dimitrijević became the head coach for Polet, a club based in Ratina near his hometown, of the First Regional League of Serbia. Zoran Todorović
Zoran Todorović ( sr-cyr, Зоран Тодоровић; born July 9, 1967) is a Serbian basketball coach and former player. Playing career Todorović played for Smederevo 1953, Goša from Smederevska Palanka, and Radnički Kovin. He also played in the 1995–96 season for the Apollon Limassol of the Cyprus Division A. Coaching career Todorović started his coaching career in 1999 with Smederevo 1953. In 2001, he had moved to Swisslion Vršac where he stayed until 2003. In 2003, once again he signed with Smederevo. The Serbian basketball league system, or Serbian basketball league pyramid is a series of interconnected competitions for professional basketball clubs in Serbia. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and demotion system between competitions at different levels.
