KKGL (96.9 FM, "The Eagle") is a commercial radio station located in Nampa, Idaho that serves the Boise area. KKGL airs a classic rock format. This station is also an affiliate for the Bob and Tom Show. History Top 40 (1977-1982) The station signed on the air in February 1977 as KUUZ with a top 40 format. MOR (1982-198?) In 1982 the station changed their call letters to KBNY and aired a middle-of-the-road (MOR) format. Adult contemporary (198?-1987) The station later switched to an adult contemporary format. In 1986, the call letters were changed to KFML. Oldies (1987-1991) In 1987 the call letters were changed to KLCI and by 1989 the format was changed to oldies Adult contemporary (1991-1994) The format changed to adult contemporary by 1991. KBOI (AM)
KBOI (670 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in the western United States, located in Boise, Idaho. It is owned by Cumulus Media and airs a news/talk radio format. Studios and offices are on Bannock Street in Downtown Boise, while its transmitter is located at a six-tower array southwest of the city. KBOI is Idaho's most powerful AM station, broadcasting with 50,000 watts around the clock. During the day, a single non-directional antenna beams the station's full power to Southwestern Idaho and Eastern Oregon. At night, power is fed to all six towers in a directional pattern to avoid interfering with WSCR in Chicago, the Class A clear-channel station on 670 AM. Even though it must direct its signal north-south as a result, KBOI can still be heard with across much of the western half of North America at night with a good radio, but is strongest in the Pacific Northwest. Nampa () is the largest city in Canyon County, Idaho. Its population was 100,200 at the time of the 2020 Census. It is Idaho's third-most populous city. KTIK (1350 kHz, "95.3 The Ticket") is a commercial AM radio station located in Boise, Idaho, United States. KTIK airs sports/ talk programming as a CBS Sports Radio affiliate and is under ownership of Cumulus Media. On January 26, 2011, KTIK began simulcasting on KZMG 93.1 FM, which was subsequently renamed KTIK-FM.
