KIEM-TV
KIEM-TV (channel 3) is a television station in Eureka, California, United States, affiliated with NBC. It is owned by Marquee Broadcasting alongside low-power CBS affiliate KVIQ-LD (channel 14). The two stations share studios on South Broadway in Spruce Point near the southwestern corner of Eureka; KIEM-TV's transmitter is located along Kneeland Road southeast of the city. History KIEM-TV signed on the air as Eureka's first television station on October 25, 1953. The station was started by William B. Smullin and his company, California Oregon Broadcasting, Inc., who also started (and still owns) KOBI-TV in Medford, Oregon. The station call sign KIEM-TV was a counterpart to the company's AM radio station, KIEM — which stood for "Keep Informed Every Minute". The FM part of a broadcast trio was KRED. KVIQ
KVIQ-LD (channel 14) is a low-power television station in Eureka, California, United States, affiliated with CBS. It is owned by Marquee Broadcasting alongside NBC affiliate KIEM-TV (channel 3). The two stations share studios on South Broadway in Spruce Point near the southwestern corner of Eureka; KVIQ-LD's transmitter is located along Barry Road southeast of the city. Until 2017, KVIQ operated as a full-power television station on digital channel 17. The full-power signal was sold to comply with FCC regulations, after former owner Northwest Broadcasting acquired another full-power signal, KIEM. KEJB (AM)
KEJB (1480 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an oldies format. Licensed to Eureka, California, United States, it serves the Eureka area. The station is owned by Bicoastal Media, though licensee Bicoastal Media Licenses II, LLC. History The station is the North Coast's oldest continuously operating radio station. It signed on in 1933 as KIEM. It gradually spawned the area's first television station, KIEM-TV. The radio side changed its call sign to KRED in 1961, but remained a sister station to KIEM-TV until the two stations were sold to separate owners in the 1970s. The station's call sign from 1996 to 2023, KGOE, came from a former simulcast of KGO (810 AM), a talk radio station in San Francisco. On February 1, 2023, KGOE changed its format from progressive talk to oldies, branded as "The Jukebox" under new KEJB call letters.

KAEF-TV (channel 23) is a television station licensed to Arcata, California, United States, serving as the ABC affiliate for the Eureka area. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group alongside two low-power stations: dual CW/MyNetworkTV affiliate KECA-LD (channel 29) and Univision affiliate KEUV-LD (channel 35). Sinclair also provides certain services to Eureka-licensed Fox affiliate KBVU (channel 28) under a local marketing agreement (LMA) with Cunningham Broadcasting; however, Sinclair effectively owns KBVU as the majority of Cunningham's stock is owned by the family of deceased group founder Julian Smith.
