K237FR ("Olympia's 95.3 KGY") is a translator radio station licensed to Tumwater, Washington, which serves the Olympia, Washington region. It broadcasts with 220 watts at 95.3 FM, relaying the classic hits programming carried over the HD2 subchannel of KYYO in McCleary. K237FR is a Class D translator, and was first licensed in 2014. It was initially used to provide an FM signal for KGY, 1240 AM in Olympia, Washington. (In order to avoid confusion, at this time co-owned KGY-FM in McCleary, Washington changed its call letters to KYYO.) KBUP
KBUP (1240 AM) is a radio station licensed to Olympia, Washington. Owned and operated by Sacred Heart Radio, Inc., it relays the Catholic religious programming originating at KBLE 1050 AM Seattle. KBUP is one of the oldest radio stations in the United States, and received its first broadcasting license, as KGY in Lacey, Washington, on March 30, 1922. In addition, the station traces its origin to earlier activities conducted by Father Sebastian Ruth at Saint Martin's College in Lacey. History 7YS In early 1916, Saint Martin's College was issued a "Technical and Training School" radio license, with the call sign 7YS, for a station established by Benedictine monk Father Sebastian Ruth, O.S.B. Kingaroy Airport
Kingaroy Airport or Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen Airport is an airport located south of Kingaroy, Queensland, Australia. History The airport opened in 1931 as Kingaroy Aerodrome. It was taken over by the Royal Australian Air Force in October 1941 as Landing Ground No. 375 and formally acquired by the Commonwealth government in June 1943, becoming RAAF Station Kingaroy. Four runways and 180 buildings were constructed between July 1942 and May 1943. It was downgraded to an unstaffed Emergency Landing Ground in June 1945 and returned to civilian control in July 1946. Current facilities There are two runways, the main is 16/34 and is and the second, 05/23, is . There are no scheduled services but the airport is used by charter flights to the gas fields in far west Queensland. The airport is used for gliding.
