KGBC (1540 AM) is a broadcast radio station in the United States. Licensed to Galveston, Texas, and owned by SIGA Broadcasting, KGBC has a Tejano music format. The station first signed on in 1947. KTMR (1130 AM) is a radio station licensed to Converse, Texas serving nearby San Antonio as a Spanish radio station, airing a variety of talk programs, with regional Mexican music mornings, and Sports programming on weekends. It is currently under ownership of SIGA Broadcasting Corporation. Because it shares the same frequency as " clear channel" station KWKH in Shreveport, Louisiana; KTMR only broadcasts during the daytime hours. KCPP (1140 kHz) is a non-commercial AM radio station licensed to Cleburne, Texas, and serving the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It carries a Christian radio Catholic-based format and is owned by the La Promesa Foundation. By day, KCPP is powered at 5,000 watts, however 1140 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A stations XEMR Monterrey, Mexico, and WRVA Richmond, Virginia. So KCPP reduces its power at night to 710 watts to avoid interference. It uses a directional antenna at all times. The daytime signal covers the southern section of the Metroplex. Program Test Authority
In broadcasting, program test authority (PTA) is an authorization to conduct on-air testing of broadcast station facilities authorized to be built under a construction permit. Once this testing is successfully completed, and all measured parameters match what was authorized in the permit, the permittee can apply to the broadcasting authority for a broadcast license to cover the permit. PTA lasts until the license is issued (or, rarely, denied).
