KDNF (840 AM) is a radio station licensed to Belen, New Mexico, United States, which also serves the Albuquerque area. The signal in Albuquerque had been a bit weak there during daytime hours and was even harder (but not impossible) to hear at night due to its transmitter being located near Belen (about 40 miles south of Albuquerque) and using low levels of power. KYLZ (101.3 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is owned by Vanguard Media and airs an urban contemporary radio format mixed with some recent hits, branded as "The Hustle 101.3". The radio studios are in Northeast Albuquerque (a mile north of Central Avenue). KYLZ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 3,700 watts. The transmitter is on 140th Street SW at Central Avenue SW (U.S. Route 66) near Interstate 40 in Albuquerque. KIOT (102.5 FM, "Coyote 102.5") is an American radio station licensed to Los Lunas, New Mexico, and serving the Albuquerque and Santa Fe radio markets broadcasting a classic rock format with music from the late 1960s through the early 2000s. The station is owned by American General Media. Its studios are located in Northeast Albuquerque (a mile north of Central Avenue) and the transmitter tower is located atop Sandia Crest east of the city. History KIOT first launched in 1991 with an eclectic Triple-A format called "The Coyote". The callsign and format originated in late 1990 on 102.3 in Espanola after the station was purchased by KLSK founder Bill Sims and programmer Jack Kolkmeyer. The name "coyote" and KIOT callsign was selected to associate it as: "The coyote embodies the wild, free spirit that is the very soul and music of the world." KJFA-FM (102.9 Hertz, MHz) is a radio station licensed to Pecos, New Mexico, branded as Fuego 102-9, and serving the Santa Fe, New Mexico, Santa Fe area. It broadcasts a bilingual Hispanic rhythmic format. History KENC – Enchantment FM 102.9 102.9 FM signed on in August 2002 as KENC, "Enchantment FM 102.9", under Meadows Media, programmed by Jim Duncan, which aired an eclectic music format made up of jazz (without much smooth jazz), classical, world music, blues, folk, and bluegrass, as well as Adult Album Alternative. Jim Duncan's goal was to create a radio station which featured music not heard on most commercial radio stations. It airs a classical music radio format with some selections drawn from musical theatre. The studios and offices are located on Marble Avenue NE in Northeast Albuquerque. Belen, New Mexico
Belén (; ) is the second most populated city in Valencia County, New Mexico, the United States, after its county seat, Los Lunas. The population was 7,360 as of the 2020 Census. Belén is Spanish for Bethlehem. It gained the nickname "Hub City" after the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway completed a line through it in 1907. The city is geographically near the center of New Mexico, and is a significant transportation hub that includes access to rails, Interstate Highway 25, and air at Valencia County's only public airport. HD Radio (HDR) is a trademark for in-band on-channel (IBOC) digital radio broadcast technology. HD radio generally simulcast, simulcasts an existing analog radio station in digital format with less noise and with additional text information. HD Radio is used primarily by FM broadcasting, FM radio stations in the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, Mexico and the Philippines, with a few implementations outside North America.
