KDLY
KDLY (97.5 FM, "97.5 The Brand") is a radio station broadcasting a country music format. Licensed to Lander, Wyoming, United States, the station serves the Riverton area and the Wind River Reservation as well as most of Central Wyoming. The station is currently owned by Will Hill, through licensee Kairos Broadcasting, LLC. History The station signed on the air in 1975 with 25,000 watts from a tower near US 287 northwest of Lander. The station's antenna was at 425 feet above average terrain. It was owned by Fremont Broadcasting. In 1978, the transmitter was moved again, this time 2.5 miles northeast of Lander's city limits, and the power was increased to 61,600 watts. The station's current transmitter is located just southwest of Lander off of Squaw Creek Road. The station has two sister stations, KOVE and KTUG. The station was sold in 2021 by Fremont Broadcasting to Kairos Broadcasting. On October 3, 2022, KDLY changed their format from classic hits to country, branded as "97 ... KTUG
KTUG (105.1 FM, "Jack FM") is a radio station broadcasting an adult hits music format. Licensed to Hudson, Wyoming, United States, the station is currently owned by Kairos Communications and features programming from Fox News Radio and Jack FM. The station's transmitter is approximately southeast of Lander near the east edge of the Wind River Range, shared with KCWC-TV. The station once carried a Contemporary Christian format, and was known as "105.1 The Ledge". It was owned by Higher Calling Communications. KTUG was purchased in 2021 from Morcom Broadcasting by Kairos Communications. This brought the station two sister stations, KDLY and KOVE, which were also purchased by Kairos in 2021 from Fremont Broadcasting. Kairos also owns County10, an online news source in Fremont County. Lander, Wyoming
Lander is a city in Wyoming, United States, and the county seat of Fremont County. It is in central Wyoming, along the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River, just south of the Wind River Indian Reservation. It is a tourism center with several nearby guest ranches. Its population was 7,487 at the 2010 census. History Lander was previously known as Pushroot, Old Camp Brown and Fort Augur. Its present name was chosen in 1875 in reference to General Frederick W. Lander, a transcontinental explorer who surveyed the Oregon Trail's Lander Cutoff. 19th Century In 1868, the Fort Bridger Treaty set the Wind River Indian Reservation southern border at the Sweetwater River. By the early 1870s, conflicts were increasing between white settlers illegally on the reservation and the Shoshone. Thermopolis, Wyoming
Thermopolis is the county seat and largest town in Hot Springs County, Wyoming, United States. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the town population was 2,725. Thermopolis is Greek for "hot city." It is home to numerous natural hot springs, in which mineral-laden waters are heated by geothermal processes. The town is named for the hot springs located there. The town claims the world's largest mineral hot spring, appropriately named "The Big Spring", as part of Hot Springs State Park.
