KCIT (channel 14) is a television station in Amarillo, Texas, United States, affiliated with the Fox network. It is owned by Mission Broadcasting, which maintains joint sales and shared services agreements (JSA/SSA) with Nexstar Media Group, owner of NBC affiliate KAMR-TV (channel 4) and low-power MyNetworkTV affiliate KCPN-LD (channel 33), for the provision of certain services. The three stations share studios on Southeast 11th Avenue and South Fillmore Street in downtown Amarillo; KCIT's transmitter is located on Dumas Drive (U.S. Route 87 in Texas, US 87–U.S. Route 287 in Texas, 287) and Reclamation Plant Road in rural unincorporated area#United States, unincorporated Potter County, Texas, Potter County. Independent Station
An independent station is a broadcast station, usually a television station, not affiliated with a larger broadcast television network, network. As such, it only broadcasts broadcast syndication, syndicated programs it has purchased; brokered programming, brokered programming, for which a third party pays the station for airtime; and local programs that it produces itself.
