KBZZ (1270 kHz, "92.5 The Hog") is an AM radio station broadcasting a classic rock format. Licensed to Sparks, Nevada, United States, the station is part of Tom Quinn's Reno Media Group and serves the Reno area. The station is currently owned by Americom Limited Partnership. The station's studios are located on Matley Lane in East Reno, and its transmitter is located east of Sparks. History The station went on the air as KROI on November 1, 1979. On February 11, 1984, the station changed its call sign to KORY, then on March 1, 1985 to KPLY, on March 5, 2001 to KBZZ, on March 15, 2018 to KSGG, and on March 23, 2018 to KZTQ. Sparks is a city in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. It was founded in 1904, incorporated on March 15, 1905, and is located just east of Reno, Nevada, Reno. In broadcasting and radio communications, a call sign (also known as a call name or call letters—and historically as a call signal—or abbreviated as a call) is a unique identifier for a transmitter station. A call sign can be formally assigned by a government agency, informally adopted by individuals or organizations, or even cryptographically encoded to disguise a station's identity. The use of call signs as unique identifiers dates to the landline railroad telegraph system. Tom Leykis (pronounced: ; born ) is an American former talk radio personality best known for hosting ''The Tom Leykis Show'' from 1994 to 2009 (nationally syndicated), and April 2012 to 2018 (internet streamcast/podcast). The ''Don and Mike Show'' was an American nationally syndicated radio talk show hosted by the shock jocks Don Geronimo and Mike O'Meara, which aired from December 1985 through April 11, 2008. The show debuted on WAVA-FM in 1985 as ''The Morning Zoo with Don and Mike''. The official name of the show became'' The Don and Mike Show'' when the duo moved to WJFK-FM in 1991. La Junta is a home rule municipality in, the county seat of, and the most populous municipality of Otero County, Colorado, United States. The city population was 7,322 at the 2020 United States census. La Junta is located on the Arkansas River in southeastern Colorado east of Pueblo. The city is home to Otero College. The Sports Fan Radio Network was a national sports talk radio network that existed from 1993 through 2001, when it abruptly folded. History Launch SportsFan Radio Network officially debuted in 1993 with 80 hours of programming per month.
