KANAL – Centre Pompidou is a museum for modern and contemporary art located in Brussels, Belgium, near the Brussels–Charleroi Canal, in the former Citroën Garage buildings. Building The building, which is included in the inventory of architectural heritage of the Brussels-Capital Region, is a former garage built for the Citroën company between 1933 and 1934 under the direction of the French architect with the Belgian architects and . It was modified in 1954 by Louis Hoebeke. The building occupies most of the block that is enclosed by the Square Sainctelette/Sainctelettesquare, the /, the / and the /. The ( French, ) or (Dutch) is a square in the City of Brussels municipality of Brussels, Belgium. It is named in honour of Charles-Xavier Sainctelette, a former Belgian minister for public works. The square lies along the Brussels–Charleroi Canal, on the border with the Molenbeek-Saint-Jean municipality, from which it is separated by the canal. Sergison Bates architects is an architectural practice with an office in London and Zürich. It was founded by Jonathan Sergison (born 1964) and Stephen Bates (born 1964) in 1996 in London. The Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art (MIMA) is a contemporary art museum in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, a municipality of Brussels, Belgium. It is a privately owned non-profit museum that was founded in 2016. It is located at 41, /, along the Brussels–Charleroi Canal, in the former building of the Belle-Vue brewery. The Brussels–Scheldt Maritime Canal (; ), also known as the Willebroek Canal amongst other similar names, is an important canal in Belgium.
