KABT (101.7 FM), "The Patriot" is an Americana/Texas country/southern rock radio station serving the Abilene, Texas, area and licensed to nearby Hawley, Texas. The station is owned by WesTex Communications. The 101.7 facility went on the air at the end of 2018 as KTJK, with a variety hits format. WesTex acquired the station in 2021 and relaunched it as "The Raider" with the same music format. In 2023, The Raider moved to 106.3 MHz, and 101.7 was relaunched with its present format. Hawley is a city in Jones County, Texas, United States. The population was 634 at the 2010 census. Named for Congressman Robert B. Hawley, it is part of the Abilene metropolitan area. Geography Hawley is located in southeastern Jones County at (32.612023, –99.813315). U.S. Routes 83 and 277, running concurrently, pass through the southwest side of the city, leading northwest to Anson, the county seat, and southeast to Abilene. According to the United States Census Bureau, Hawley has a total area of , of which , or 0.25%, is covered by water. The Clear Fork of the Brazos River flows through the city, south of the center. Dyess Air Force Base (AFB) is a United States Air Force (USAF) base located about southwest of downtown Abilene, Texas, and west of Fort Worth, Texas. The host unit at Dyess is the 7th Bomb Wing assigned to the Global Strike Command Eighth Air Force. The wing is one of only two B-1B Lancer strategic bomber wings in the USAF, the other being the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. The 317th Airlift Wing, assigned to Air Mobility Command Eighteenth Air Force, is a tenant unit and one of four world-wide active-duty locations for the C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft. The Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider is an American strategic bomber under development for the United States Air Force (USAF) by Northrop Grumman. As part of the Long Range Strike Bomber (LRS-B) program, it is to be a long-range, stealth intercontinental strategic bomber for the USAF, able to deliver conventional and thermonuclear weapons. The Air Force is planning to replace the Rockwell B-1 Lancer and Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit with the B-21 by 2040, and could possibly replace the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress after that.
