K. P. Brahmanandan
Kadakkavoor Pachan Brahmanandan (Malayalam:കടയ്ക്കാവൂർ പാച്ചൻ ബ്രഹ്മാനന്ദൻ; 22 February 1946 – 10 August 2004) was a South Indian playback singer from Kerala. Personal life Brahmanandan was born in Kadakkavoor, which is located north of Trivandrum district in Kerala, on 22 February 1946. His parents were Pachan and Bhavani. He was the third child of his parents, who totally had eight children. He began to study Carnatic music since a young age, firstly from his uncle Kadakkavoor Sundaram Bhagavathar, and later from the eminent musician D. K. Jayaraman. Brahmanandan was the father of Rakesh Brahmanandan, another Malayalam singer. Brahmanandan died at his home in Kadakkavoor on 10 August 2004, at the age of 58. Kadakkavoor is a developing special grade town consisting central government postal office, railway station, sub treasury, police station, electricity board, telecom office and banks; Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India. Carnatic music, known as or in the South Indian languages, is a system of music commonly associated with South India, including the modern Indian states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and Sri Lanka. Ilaiyaraaja (born R. Gnanathesikan, 3 June 1943) is an Indian musician, composer, arranger, conductor, orchestrator, instrumentalist, lyricist and singer, popular for his works in Indian Cinema, prominently in Tamil films. Reputed to be one of the most prolific Indian composers, in a career spanning over forty-five years, he has composed over 7,000 songs and provided film scores for over 1,000 films, apart from performing in over 20,000 concerts. Shankar–Ganesh is an Indian music director duo who has worked on Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies for around 50 years. Career They started as assistants to Tamil music composers M. S. Viswanathan and T. K. Ramamoorthy in 1964 and later the duo assisted M.S.Viswanathan alone from 1965 till 1967. Kannadhasan started his own film Titled "Nagarathil Thirudargal" in which he introduced Shankar Ganesh as music directors. The film was stopped, so Kannadhasan took them to Chinnappa Devar and requested him to give them a chance.
