K. E. Krishna Murthy
Kambalapadu Ediga Krishna Murthy (born 2 October 1938), popularly known as K. E. Krishna Murthy, is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He served as Third N. Chandrababu Naidu ministry, Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2014-2019 and as an Irrigation minister in Second N. T. Rama Rao ministry, N. T. Rama Rao cabinet from 1985-1987. Also he worked in the cabinet of Tanguturi Anjaiah. Murthy was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly five times from Dhone constituency, one time from Pattikonda Assembly constituency, Pattikonda constituency and to the Lok Sabha for one term from Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency, Kurnool constituency. Dhone
Dhone or Dronachalam is a town in Nandyal district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality located in Dhone mandal, and it is the headquarters of Dhone revenue division. History Dhone was formerly known as Dronachalam. Dhone is the second biggest municipality in Nandyal district after Nandyal Municipality. According to local tradition, the name of the village is derived from the name of the tutor Dronacharya, a character in Mahabharata, who meditated on the hill in village. There is now a Hanuman temple, Dargah and church on the hill. Dhone has large deposits of high quality limestone, and it was previously the site of an active quarry. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP; ) is an Indian regional political party primarily active in the Federated state, states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election was held in the States and union territories of India, Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on 13 May 2024 for constituting the 16th Andhra Pradesh Assembly, sixteenth Andhra Pradesh Assembly. They were held alongside the 2024 Indian general election. The election results were declared on 4 June 2024. Tanguturi Anjaiah (1919–1986), popularly known as T. Anjaiah, was an Indian politician who served as the 7th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from October 1980 to February 1982. He won from Ramayampet Assembly Constituency. Background Tanguturi Anjaiah was born on August 16, 1919. His parents belonged to Bhanoor village in Medak district.
