K-Gee
Karl Clive Gordon, known by the stage name K-Gee, is a British Disc jockey, DJ, Record producer, producer, rapper and songwriter and former member of the Outlaw Posse. Gordon was brought up listening to reggae by his father and was inspired to become a DJ after listening to Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" and other early Hip hop music, hip-hop tracks. K-Gee and his friend Bello decided to start Outlaw Posse and one of his demo tapes ended up at Richie Rich and in 1990 the debut single (music), single "Party" was released and later the album ''My Afros on Fire''. In 1992, the second album ''The Oneness of Two Minds in Unison'' was released, however the band split up and K-Gee returned to being a DJ. Outlaw Posse
Outlaw Posse was a British hip hop group formed by Bello B (real name Isaac Bello) and K-Gee (real name Karl Gordon). They also recorded together as Outlaw and Brothers Like Outlaw, before the group finally split in 1992. Biography K-Gee started out as a drummer in the school band, but soon had a residency as a DJ in the Fringe in London. Together with his school friend Bello B, K-Gee used to rap over beats and basslines and record their efforts onto tape. The duo called themselves the Outlaw Posse, and the tapes they recorded came to the attention of DJ Richie Rich, who was making his name as both a club DJ and a recording artist in his own right. "I Don't Really Care" is the debut single by English rapper/record producer K-Gee, released in 2000. It was produced by K-Gee and Octave, and features vocals by singer Michelle Escoffery. ''All Saints'' is the debut studio album by English girl group All Saints. It was released on 24 November 1997 by London Records. All Saints worked with many producers on the album: Cameron McVey, John Benson, Johnny Douglas, Karl "K-Gee" Gordon, Magnus Fiennes, Nellee Hooper, Karen Gibbs and Neville Henry. Upon its release, the album received mixed reviews from music critics, some of whom praised the choice of singles and the group's musical direction. Instant Karma (record Label)
Instant Karma is an independent record label created by former Warner Music Group chairman and head of the BPI, Rob Dickins, in 1999. The label was founded by Dickins after his resignation from Warner Music, where he gained fame for his track record of signing female vocalists such as Enya and the Corrs. Instant Karma's first release was Helicopter Girl's ''How to Steal the World'' album in June 2000; the label received attention for the fact that its very first release was short-listed for the Mercury Prize. Helicopter Girl signed with Instant Karma on the condition that she be permitted not to tour. "I Know Where It's At" is a song by English girl group All Saints, released in August 1997 as their debut single from their first album, '' All Saints'' (1997). Tricia Marie "Shaznay" Lewis (born 14 October 1975) is an English singer and songwriter. Lewis rose to fame as a member of the girl group All Saints (group), All Saints which she formed with Melanie Blatt in 1993. As a member of All Saints, Lewis won two Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello Awards, Ivor Novello Award, and co-wrote three of the group's five UK number-one singles: "Never Ever (All Saints song), Never Ever", "Bootie Call" and "Pure Shores". All Saints was a British-Canadian girl group formed in London in 1993. They were founded as All Saints 1.9.7.5. by music manager Ron Tom. with members Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, and Simone Rainford. Joseph Robert Saddler (born January 1, 1958), known by his stage name Grandmaster Flash, is a Barbadian-American musician and DJ. He created a DJ technique called the Quick Mix Theory. This technique serviced the break-dancer and the rapper by elongating the drum breaks through the use of duplicate copies of vinyl. This technique gave birth to cutting and scratching. It also gave rappers better music with a seamless elongated bed of beats to speak on. He also invented the slipmat.
