Július Šupler
Július Šupler (born 27 October 1950 in Poprad, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak ice-hockey coach. Šupler has been coach of HC Dukla Trenčín and Riga 2000 and was the first coach of Slovakia men's national ice hockey team, Slovakia national team. Playing career Šupler began playing ice hockey in his hometown of HK Tatravagónka Poprad, Poprad and later played in MHk 32 Liptovský Mikuláš, Liptovský Mikuláš. In 1970–1972 he played for HC Slovan Bratislava, Slovan Bratislava and in 1972–1976 for HC Košice, VSŽ Košice. Coaching career He started coaching as the assistant coach in Poprad 1979–1985, as the head coach in 1985–1987. In 1991–92 season he won Czechoslovakia title with HC Dukla Trenčín, Dukla Trenčín. Since 1993 he was the head coach of Slovakia men's national ice hockey team, Slovakia national team. Hockey Club Donbass (; ''Romanization of Ukrainian, tr. Hokeinyi Klub Donbas'') is a Ukraine, Ukrainian professional ice hockey team based in Druzhkivka, that played in the Ukrainian Hockey League and briefly the KHL. HC Donbass is a six time Ukrainian champion (2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018). The 2008 IIHF World Championship was played between May 2 and May 18, 2008 in the Canadian cities of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Halifax (Nova Scotia) and Quebec City (Quebec). The two venues were the Halifax Metro Centre and the Colisée Pepsi. The tournament was won by Russia men's national ice hockey team, Russia which claimed its first gold medal since 1993. Zdeno Cíger
Zdeno Cíger (born 19 October 1969) is a Slovak former professional hockey player, and currently hockey coach. He played for the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning. Zdeno Cíger was drafted 54th overall in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils as their 3rd choice. Cíger played in 352 NHL games, amassing 94 goals and 134 assists. His best year came up in the 1995-1996 season when he scored 31 goals and added 39 assists, after which he would leave the NHL before briefly returning 6 years later during the 2001–02 NHL season.
