Jørgen Kaas
Jørgen Kaas (1618 – 30 January 1658 in Fyn) was a Danish colonel, lord of the fiefdom Vest-Agder, Lister in Norway, and owner of the Hastrup and Østergaard estates in Denmark. A member of the Kaas (noble family), younger Kaas family (informally known as ''Mur-Kaas''), one of Denmark's preeminent families of ancient high nobility, he is notable as a war hero during the March across the Belts when he led the defense of Fyn against the Swedes and fell in battle. King Charles X Gustav of Sweden accompanied his body on foot in honour of his bravery. He was given the fief of Lister by King Christian IV on 30 December 1648, after he had sold his estate Østergaard to the King's son Ulrik Christian Gyldenløve. He never resided in Norway, and the fief was administered by the fiefholder of Nedenes. Paus
The Paus family () is a Norwegian family that first appeared as members of the elite of 16th-century Oslo and that for centuries belonged to Norway's " aristocracy of officials" as priests of the state church, judges and other higher government officials, especially in Upper Telemark. Nissen, von Nissen and von Nissen-Benzon is a Danish family of land owners from Southern Jutland, which was partially ennobled in 1710. Henrik Jørgen Huitfeldt-Kaas (2 February 1834 – 18 May 1905) was a Norwegian historian and Director-General of the National Archives of Norway (''riksarkivar''). Huitfeldt-Kaas was born in Christiania (now Oslo, Norway). He was a member of both the Danish noble Huitfeldt and Kaas families. He was descended from Lieutenant-General Henrik Jørgen Huitfeldt and Birgitte Christine Kaas. Elingård
Elingård (''Elingaard herregård'') is a manor house and an estate located at Fredrikstad in Viken county, Norway. The manor is situated on the Onsøy peninsula outside of Fredrikstad. Elingaard manor is currently operated as a museum. History and description The current main building was erected in the Renaissance style and was completed early in 1749. The building was constructed on two floors and consists of a main wing and two side wings. Outside is a garden laid out in the English manner. Elingård estate was owned by members of the Østby and Gyldenhorn families in the 15th century and of the noble family Brockenhuus in the 16th century. Chancellor of Norway Jens Bjelke acquired the estate through marriage with Sophie Brockenhuus in 1610. With this marriage, he became one of the wealthiest nobles in Norway. Her husband Henrik Jørgen Huitfeldt Birgitte Christine Kaas, married Huitfeldt (2 October 1682 – 14 August 1761) was a Norwegian poet and translator of hymns. Biography A member of the Danish noble Kaas family, she was the daughter of Hans Kaas (1640–1700), Governor of Christiania (now Oslo) and Trondheim and granddaughter of Jørgen Kaas, lord of the fiefdom Lister in Vest-Agder. She was the second wife of Lieutenant-General Henrik Jørgen Huitfeldt (1674–1751), a Danish war hero and member of the noble Huitfeldt family. They were the parents of three children.
