Jérôme Grosset-Janin
Jérôme Luc Ludovic Grosset-Janin (born 19 June 1984) is a French rallycross driver from Sallanches, Haute-Savoie. Biography Grosset-Janin began his motorsport career in ice racing in 2003, and competed in the 2005 Andros Trophy, where he secured 14 podiums from 14 races. The following year, at age 22, he switched to rallying in the French Rally Championship, French Asphalt Rally Championship, finishing third to become the youngest driver to win a rally and reach the podium. In 2009, Grosset-Janin returned to rallycross, finishing third in the French Rallycross Championship in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, he finished runner-up and in 2013 he was crowned French Rallycross Champion. In 2014, he piloted a Clio in the British round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship and finished sixth overall in the heats. The Andros Trophy (''Trophée Andros'') was the France, French national ice racing championship. The championship is currently holding its 35th and last season. History The idea of an ice racing series first became an idea when professional racer Max Mamers (French Rallycross Champion 1982 and 1983 with Talbot Matra Murena) and the owner of the ''Andros'' company (jam and compote producers), Frédéric Gervoson, met as rugby fans in 1985. They spent the winter racing with friends on ice circuits. On 27 January 1990, the idea of a series came to life at Serre Chevalier with the first round of four. The series quickly grew, with a round at Paris (Pelouse de Reuilly) in 1991 creating a five round series; and a seven round championship in 1992. World Rallycross Championship
The FIA World Rallycross Championship (official abbreviation is World RX) is a rallycross series organised by the FIA in conjunction with series promoter Rallycross Promoter GmbH (founded by Red Bull and KW25). From the inaugural season in 2014 to 2020, IMG Motorsport fulfilled the role of promoter. Format The series currently consists of 12 two-day events driven on closed circuits with mixed surface (mostly asphalt and gravel). Each event consists of: * 4 Qualifying heats. Tommy Rustad (born 3 September 1968) is a Norwegian racing driver. He currently drives in the FIA European Rallycross Championship and occasionally in the FIA World Rallycross Championship. Tommy is the son of former well known Norwegian racer Ola Rustad. Racing career Early Rallycross Years Rustad started his motor sport career in karting before racing in the Norwegian Rallycross Championship, winning the so-called ''Supernasjonal'' title for six years in a row between 1987 and 1992.
