Jårg Geismar
Jårg Geismar (born 19 January 1958 in Burgsvik, Gotland, Sweden), († February 26, 2019, Essen, Germany) was a German artist. He lived and worked in Düsseldorf. Life Geismar studied from 1979 to 1980 at the Justus-Liebig Universität in Giessen and at the Ruhr University Bochum. He was interested in the topics of animation, drawing, psychology and sociology. From 1980 to 1986, he studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf at Fritz Schwegler and Irmin Kamp. In the following years 1986 to 1988, he studied at the New School of Social Research and at the Parsons School of Design in New York City. His teachers were, inter alia, Richard van Buren and Ronald Bladen. His main areas in New York were fine arts, art history and architecture with the conclusion MFA (Master of Fine Arts). Kosuke Tsumura (b.1959) is a Japanese fashion designer and artist particularly known for his Final Home label. Early life Kosuke Tsumura was born in 1959 in Saitama, Japan. In 1982 he won the Soen Prize, an award made by the leading Japanese fashion magazine ''Soen'' since 1956 to new young talent in the field of fashion design. Previous winners had included Kansai Yamamoto and Yohji Yamamoto. Issey Miyake, another former winner of the Soen Award, employed Tsumura the following year. William Kentridge
William Kentridge (born 28 April 1955) is a South African artist best known for his prints, drawings, and animated films, especially noted for a sequence of hand-drawn animated films he produced during the 1990s. The latter are constructed by filming a drawing, making erasures and changes, and filming it again. He continues this process meticulously, giving each change to the drawing a quarter of a second to two seconds' screen time. A single drawing will be altered and filmed this way until the end of a scene. These palimpsest-like drawings are later displayed along with the films as finished pieces of art. Ilya Iosifovich Kabakov ( Russian: Илья́ Ио́сифович Кабако́в; born September 30, 1933), is a Russian–American conceptual artist, born in Dnipropetrovsk in what was then the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union. He worked for thirty years in Moscow, from the 1950s until the late 1980s. He now lives and works on Long Island, United States.
