Jyothula Chantibabu
Jyothula Chantibabu (born 1978) is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election on YSR Congress Party ticket from Jaggampeta Constituency in East Godavari district. He was denied a ticket by YSRCP for the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly Election. Early life and education Babu was born in Irripaka Village in Jaggampeta, East Godavari district. His father Rama Swamy is a farmer. He studied political science and completed his post-graduation from Andhra University in 1998. Career Babu started his political journey in Telugu Desam Party and in 2009, he was incharge of TDP in his district. Later, he shifted to YSR Congress Party. Jaggampeta
Jaggampeta is a town in Jaggampeta mandal, located in Kakinada district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The origin of the name Jaggampeta derived from the Lake Jaggama situated in the town. Jaggampeta is also called as "Uddandula kota" (Fort of Pipes), "The Gate of Agency", "The Entrance of Maredumilli Forests" and "The Center of East Godavari". Since the 18th century, British rule dominated this region in India, known for its thriving export of decorative tiles to Britain. Jaggampeta was once a hub of tile production. The town earned its nickname "Area of Tall Pipes" due to the record number of tall smoke towers that belonged to the many tile factories which dominated the landscape. A siren dating back to 20th century can be heard across a 1.5km radius everyday, which used to indicate working hours (6AM, 8AM, 12PM, 2PM, and 6PM) for the industrial workers. Telugu Desam Party
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP; ) is an Indian regional political party primarily active in the Federated state, states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by Telugu cinema, Telugu matinée idol N. T. Rama Rao (NTR) on 29 March 1982 and has focused on supporting Telugu people. The party has won a five-time majority in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. The 2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election was held in the States and union territories of India, Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on 13 May 2024 for constituting the 16th Andhra Pradesh Assembly, sixteenth Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
