Jwaalamukhi
Jwaalamukhi () is a 1985 Indian Kannada-language film directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. The film featured Rajkumar, Gayathri, Thoogudeepa Srinivas, K. S. Ashwath and Mukhyamantri Chandru. The movie is based on a novel of same name by Vijay Sasanur. Initially, it was planned to adapt the novel ''Shivatandava'' by the same writer into a movie. Eventually, the plan was dropped and ''Jwaalamukhi'' was selected. Plot The story revolves around the heroics of Jayasimha, played by Rajkumar. The story starts with an introductory scene where Jayasimha explains his resignation as a professor. Well educated, rich in values and honesty will be Jayasimha's attributes. He exposes the forgery done by mischief in the college and the favorable probe trial of that case makes him resign from the college. Singeetam Srinivasa Rao (born 21 September 1931), commonly known as Singeetam, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, composer, and actor. He is widely regarded as one of the most versatile directors of India. He is credited with having revolutionised the South Indian cinema with experimental films. He has directed about sixty films in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and English languages across multiple genres. He has garnered two National Film Awards, five Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards, three Karnataka State Film Awards, and three Filmfare Awards South. Thoogudeepa Srinivas
Mysore Srinivas (17 April 1943 – 16 October 1995), known by his stage name Thoogudeepa Srinivas was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films and is remembered for his portrayal of negative-shaded characters. He is the father of actor, Darshan and film director Dinakar. Early life Srinivas was born to Muniswami and Parvathamma in 1943 as their fourth son. He had eight siblings. He lost his parents at a young age. Right from his childhood days, Srinivas was interested in theatre and cinema and was a regular participant in his school and college plays. During one of these plays, he caught the eye of another theatre artist M. P. Shankar, whom he later went on to star with in many Kannada films. Srinivas then became a regular member of Shankar's camp and had to discontinue his education during his pursuing of a Bachelor of Science from St. Philomena's College in Mysore. Honnasandra Narasimhaiah Chandrashekar (born 28 August 1953), known popularly as Mukhyamantri Chandru, is an Indian actor and politician. As an actor, he is known for his work in Kannada theatre and cinema. The sobriquet ''Mukhyamantri'' (Chief Minister) stuck to his name after the play of the same name that sees him portray the titular role became widely popular. Having portrayed mostly comic and negative roles throughout his career, Chandru is a character actor, and has acted in over 500 films since making his debut in 1983. ''Guide'' is a 1965 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Vijay Anand and produced by Dev Anand, who co-starred in the film with Waheeda Rehman. Based on R. K. Narayan's 1958 novel '' The Guide'', the film narrates the story of the freelance guide Raju (Anand) and his meeting with Rosie (Rehman), who is the wife of a wealthy archaeologist. A 120-minute U.S. version titled ''The Guide'' was written by Pearl S. Buck and directed and produced by Tad Danielewski. For the US version, Devanand had insisted that Waheeda Rehman be cast as a heroine, but his advice was not heeded to. This version flopped badly in America.
