Homer Elihu Royce
Homer Elihu Royce (June 14, 1819 – April 24, 1891) was an American lawyer, politician and jurist. From 1857 to 1861, he served two terms in the United States House of Representatives, U.S. House of Representatives. Early life Royce was born in Berkshire, Vermont, the son of Elihu Marvin and Sophronia (Parker) Royce. His uncle Stephen Royce who served as Vermont Chief Justice and Governor of Vermont, Governor. Homer Royce was educated in the district schools and at academies in St. Albans and Enosburgh. He studied law with Thomas Child, was admitted to the bar in 1844, and partnered with Thomas Child, Jr. for several years in his hometown. The University of Vermont awarded him the honorary degrees of Master of Arts in 1851, and Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) in 1882. He married, January 23, 1851, Mary T. John Royce
Sir Roger John Royce (born 27 August 1944), styled The Hon. Mr Justice Royce, was a judge of the High Court of England and Wales. Born in Virginia Water, Surrey, he attended The Leys School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge. He was awarded Blue at Cambridge for field hockey, and later captained the Somerset county hockey team. In 1970 he was called to the Bar, Gray's Inn, and appointed as QC in 1987. He presided over the 2009 Plymouth child abuse trial, and sentenced the defendants to Indeterminate Public Protection prison terms, intended to protect the public against criminals regarded as too dangerous to be released when their original sentence has finished. Stephen Royce
Stephen Royce (August 12, 1787November 11, 1868) was an American lawyer, judge and politician. Originally a Democratic-Republican, and later a Whig, he became a Republican when the party was formed in the mid-1850s. Royce served as an associate justice of the Vermont Supreme Court from 1829 to 1846, chief justice from 1846 to 1852, and 23rd governor of Vermont from 1854 to 1856. Born and raised in Tinmouth, Vermont, Royce attended the local schools and the Addison County Grammar School. He taught school while attending Middlebury College, from which he graduated in 1807. He then studied law, attained admission to the bar 1809, and practiced in East Berkshire, Sheldon, and St. Albans. He represented Sheldon in the Vermont House of Representatives from 1815 to 1817 and served as State's Attorney of Franklin County from 1816 to 1817. Royce Lamberth
Royce Charles Lamberth (; born July 16, 1943) is a senior judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, who formerly served as its chief judge. Since 2015, he has sat as a visiting judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas in San Antonio. Education and career Lamberth was born in 1943 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas, where he was a member of the Tejas Club, and from the University of Texas School of Law, receiving a Bachelor of Laws in 1967. He served as a captain in the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1968 to 1974, including one year in Vietnam.
