In broadcasting, a phone-in or call-in is a programme format in which viewers or listeners are invited to air their live comments by telephone, usually in respect of a specific topic selected for discussion on the day of the broadcast. On radio (especially talk radio), it is common for an entire programme to be dedicated to a phone-in session. On television, phone-in's are often part of a wider discussion programme: a current example in the UK is the "Jeremy Vine" TV show. ''Cross Country Checkup'' is a Canada-wide open-line phone-in talk radio show that airs Sunday afternoons on CBC Radio One. Beginning in 2021, the first hour of the program has also been simulcast on television on CBC News Network. ''Mornings'', titled ''Weekend Mornings'' on Saturday and Sunday, is the morning program on the CBC Music radio network in Canada. The program features a cross-genre selection of selected new and old Canadian and international singer/songwriter, rock and pop tracks. It also presents anecdotes, overnight news stories, and background information on the music. The program airs from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. seven days a week, and premiered in 2008 as part of the network's revamp. Known as ''Radio 2 Morning'' and ''Radio 2 Weekend Morning'' until the network's rebranding as CBC Music in 2018, it was originally hosted by Tom Allen weekdays and Molly Johnson weekends. Damhnait Doyle
Damhnait Doyle (; born December 9, 1975) is a Canadian singer, composer and radio host. A phonetic spelling of her first name (which is Irish) also serves as the title of her 2003 album. She was a member of Atlantic Canadian band Shaye from 2003–2009 with Kim Stockwood and Tara MacLean (2003–2007). Along with Blake Manning, Stuart Cameron and Peter Fusco, she formed a new band called The Heartbroken; they have been active since 2009. Career Doyle took singing, guitar and clarinet lessons as a child, and released her debut album, ''Shadows Wake Me'', in 1996. 4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern.
