Junior Madut
Junior Madut (born 26 March 1997), also sometimes referred to as Deng Junior Ring, is a South Sudanese-Australian professional basketball player for Trepça of the Kosovo Basketball Superleague. After two seasons of college basketball for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, he played a season and a half in the National Basketball League (NBL). He is also plays for the South Sudan national team. Early life Madut was born in Juba, South Sudan, and grew up in the Sydney suburb of Blacktown. Madut attended Wyndham College in Sydney and then DME Academy in Daytona, Florida. College career Between 2017 and 2019, Madut played college basketball for Eastern Florida State College. After redshirting the 2019–20 season, he played for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in the 2020–21 and 2021–22 seasons. AfroBasket 2021
FIBA AfroBasket 2021 was the 30th edition of the FIBA AfroBasket, a men's basketball continental championship of Africa. The tournament was hosted by Rwanda for the first time. It was originally scheduled to take place between 17 and 29 August 2021, but it was moved back a week due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to 24 August to 5 September 2021. The tournament featured 16 teams, with South Sudan debuting at the AfroBasket stage. South Sudan National Basketball Team
The South Sudan men's national basketball team is the national basketball team representing South Sudan. It was established in May 2011, and became a member of FIBA in December 2013. They are nicknamed the Bright Stars. The most recently founded national basketball team in FIBA, South Sudan has already played at one AfroBasket tournament in 2021 and the 2023 FIBA World Cup, and at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Korisliiga
The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games.
