The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was the fifteenth edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, organised by the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). It took place on 26 November 2017 at the Olympic Palace, in the Georgia (country), Georgian capital, Tbilisi. This was the fifth time that the contest was hosted by the winning country. The visual design and contest slogan, "Shine Bright", were revealed in May 2017. Helen Kalandadze ( ka, ელენე კალანდაძე) is a Georgian television presenter and singer. She co-hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Tbilisi alongside Lizi Pop. Life and career Early life Kalandadze was born in Tbilisi. She attended secondary school in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre in Brussels, before returning to Georgia to attend Ilia State University. She graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration and Tourism Management in 2011. Career In 2009, Kalandadze participated in the Star Academy (Georgian TV series), Georgian version of ''Star Academy''. She later began working in television presenting. In 2010, Kaladadze performed as a backing singer to Sofia Nizharadze at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The Eurovision Song Contest 2008 was the 53rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Belgrade, Serbia, following the country's victory at the with the song "" by Marija Šerifović.
