Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 was the tenth edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It took place at the AFAS Live, Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 1 December 2012. Dutch broadcaster AVRO (broadcaster), AVRO was the host broadcaster for the event. For the second time the Netherlands hosted the contest, after hosting the contest in Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007, 2007 in Rotterdam. The show was hosted by Kim-Lian, Kim-Lian van der Meij for a second time, this time joined by Ewout Genemans. The motto for the contest was ''"Break The Ice"''. Ewout Genemans
Ewout Genemans (born 7 february 1985 in The Hague) is a Dutch tv producer, presenter, moderator and keynote speaker. He is well-known for presenting various tv programmes at RTL Nederland, RTL and produces popular shows with his production company No Pictures Please. Biography Genemans attended the St.-Maartenscollege in Voorburg and joined the Rabarber Youth theatre school in The Hague afterwards. After obtaining his havo-diploma, he studied at the School of Journalism in Utrecht for six months. He worked as an editorial assistant at Visible TV next to his studies and got to be part of the RTL 4, RTL4 show ‘Vliegende Hollanders’ in this way. He worked on the production of the tv show ‘Meiden van De Wit’ in 2003. Anastasiya Petryk
Anastasiya Ihorivna Petryk (born 4 May 2002, known known by the diminutive Nastya) is a Ukrainian singer. She won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Nebo (Anastasiya Petryk song), Nebo", becoming the first Ukrainian entrant to win the competition. Life and work In 2009, at the age of 7, Anastasiya Petryk appeared on the second season of ''Ukraine's Got Talent'' with her older sister Viktoria Petryk, Viktoria "Vika" Petryk, who represented Ukraine in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008, finishing in second place. Although Anastasiya was only supporting her sister backstage, the judges invited her to sing a song with her sister Victoria. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 was the eighth edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and took place in Minsk, Belarus. It was held on 20 November 2010. The contest was won by Vladimir Arzumanyan from Armenia with the song "Mama (Vladimir Arzumanyan song), Mama." This gave Armenia its first Junior Eurovision victory and its first victory in any Eurovision contest. Location The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) invited broadcasters to bid for the rights to host the contest. In June 2009, Belarusian broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BRTC) won the rights to organise the contest over bids from Russia and Malta. The participation of Latvia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest first began at the inaugural Junior Eurovision Song Contest in which took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. Latvijas Televīzija (LTV), a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), were responsible for the selection process of their participation.
