July Shaheed Smrity Foundation () is an organisation founded in memoriam of the deceased protesters of the July massacre. On 10 September 2024, Department of Social Services of the Government of Bangladesh approved the executive council of the organisation. The structural function of the organisation is to provide financial assistance and long-term support, including mental health and counselling needs, to the families of those killed and injured in the massacre. History The interim government led by Muhammad Yunus took the initiative to establish a memorial foundation after taking responsibility to preserve the memory of those killed and to provide help to the families effected by the July massacre. On 10 September 2024, the organisation formed a seven-member executive council, appointing Muhammad Yunus as President and Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdho as General Secretary. Snigdho is the twin brother of Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho, who was killed during the quota reform movement. ...

Uttara Model Town or simply Uttara ( ''Romanisation of Bengali, romanised: Uttora'') is a neighbourhood of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. July Revolution (Bangladesh)
The July Revolution, also known as the Student–People's uprising, was a pro-democracy mass uprising in Bangladesh in 2024. It began as a quota reform movement in early June 2024, led by the Students Against Discrimination, after the Bangladesh Supreme Court invalidated the government's 2018 circular regarding job quotas in the public sector. The movement escalated into a full-fledged mass uprising after the government carried out mass killings of protesters, known as the July massacre, by late July. Students Against Discrimination () is a platform of student activists in Bangladesh formed in 2024 during the nationwide student-led quota reform movement. Sarjis Alam
Sarjis Alam (born 23 December 1998) is a Bangladeshi politician and activist. He is one of the coordinators of the Students Against Discrimination, which led the July Revolution leading to the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government. He has been the Chief Organizer ( Northern Region) of the National Citizen Party since 2025. Early life and education Sarjis Alam was born on 23 December 1998 in Atwari Upazila, Panchagarh. He completed his HSC at BAF Shaheen College in Dhaka, and earned both his BSc and MSc in Zoology from the University of Dhaka.
