Julius Gregory
Julius Gregory (born May 18, 1988) is an American football wide receiver for the Carolina Cobras of the National Arena League (NAL). He played college football at Shaw University. College career Gregory played college football at Shaw University, where he was a record setting wide receiver for the Bears. As a senior in 2010, Gregory set the single season and career records for receiving touchdowns in a season. Professional career Carolina Force Gregory went undrafted during the 2011 NFL Draft, and signed with the Carolina Force of American Indoor Football (AIF) in 2012. Late in December 2013, Gregory worked out twice for the Denver Broncos, but did not sign with the team. York Capitals During the 2013 & 2014 season, Gregory played for the York Capitals, also of the AIF. Gregory was named the Co-MVP of the league in 2013 & 2014. Carolina Cobras
The Carolina Cobras were an expansion franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was formed prior to the 2000 season, which endured a player strike. The team was originally based in Raleigh, North Carolina, but moved to Charlotte following its third season. History They played their home games in Raleigh, North Carolina, at the Raleigh Entertainment & Sports Arena (now called the PNC Arena) prior to the 2003 season. The team was based in the Charlotte Coliseum through 2004. Coaching staff included: Ed Khayat, John Gregory, Ron Selesky, Ray Jauch. On September 20, 2004, prior to the arrival of the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats, the league announced the termination of this franchise; its players were made available to the other AFL teams in a dispersal draft. The Arena Football League (AFL) was a professional arena football league in the United States. It was founded in 1986, but played its first official games in the 1987 season, making it the third longest-running professional football league in North America after the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL) until the AFL closed in 2019. The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) was a professional indoor football league that played four seasons from 2012 to 2015. Like the Lone Star Football League, the PIFL was mainly composed of teams formerly part of Southern Indoor Football League (five former SIFL teams and one expansion team in total). Despite the name, this PIFL had no connections to the original Professional Indoor Football League. History The PIFL began in 2012 with six teams in the southeastern United States, five of which joined from the Southern Indoor Football League, and the expansion Knoxville NightHawks. On March 10, 2012, the Richmond Raiders defeated the Columbus Lions, 64–58, in the first ever PIFL game. The Denver Broncos are a professional American football franchise based in Denver. The Broncos compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team is headquartered in Dove Valley, Colorado.
