Julio Cesar Matthews (born February 2, 1970, Brooklyn, New York), was an undefeated world ranked southpaw professional cruiserweight boxer who promising career was derailed by troubles with the law. Boxing career Matthews, of half Puerto Rican and half Irish descent, turned pro with a first round knockout of Lamont Burgess in Allentown, Pennsylvania on November 14, 1996. After decisioning Troy Burbank in Allentown on February 20, 1997, troubles with the law, as well as getting shot in a random car shooting, derailed the boxing career of Matthews career for over a decade. On March 15, 2008, at age 38, Matthews made a comeback, returning to the ring with a third round knockout of Kevin Hood in Allentown. Chad Dawson
Chad Dawson (born July 13, 1982) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 2001 to 2019. He has held multiple light heavyweight world championships, and was one of the most highly regarded boxers in that division between 2006 and 2013. Dawson rose to prominence on the world stage in 2007, when he defeated Tomasz Adamek to become the WBC light heavyweight champion. After vacating that title, he defeated Antonio Tarver in 2008 to win the IBF and IBO titles, and defeated him in a rematch in 2009. Dawson's first career setback was a loss to Jean Pascal in 2010. Julio César González Ibarra (July 30, 1976 – March 10, 2012) was a Mexican professional boxer who competed from 1997 to 2011, and held the WBO and lineal light heavyweight titles from 2003 to 2004. Amateur career Gonzalez was a member of the 1996 Mexican Olympic team, boxing as a light heavyweight. He was eliminated in the 1st round by eventual gold medalist Vasili Jirov of Kazakhstan. Edward Chambers (born March 29, 1982) is an American former professional boxer. He challenged once for a unified world heavyweight title in 2010. Antonio Deon Tarver (born November 21, 1968) is an American former professional boxer and boxing commentator. In boxing he competed from 1997 to 2015, and held multiple light heavyweight world championships, including the WBA (Unified), WBC, IBF and '' Ring'' magazine titles, as well as the IBO light heavyweight and cruiserweight titles. As an amateur, Tarver represented the United States at the 1996 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division; he eventually lost to Vassiliy Jirov from Kazakhstan, whom he had previously defeated at the 1995 World Championships to win gold.
